Description This is an auction for my Great Aunt's Doll.  She is 94 years old and this doll belonged to her older sister.  We found this while I was helping her do some closet cleaning.  It was stored in a suitcase for years.  I am not a doll collector so, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS.  This is what I've been able to find out....I contacted a lady (Hays & Associates) here in Louisville, KY that is an expert on old dolls.  She wanted us to place it in her up coming doll auction being held October 10th & 11th.  She said that this doll was a French fashion doll and would have an auction estimate of $2,000 to $3,500.  She was also going to charge my Great Aunt 20 percent commision.  She didn't like that idea, so this is why we are selling it here on ebay.  I contacted a local collector to try to find out more about the doll, so I could better describe it.  He said the doll was a French fashion doll, made in the late 1800's, and that the doll was worth AT LEAST $2,000.  I was then told from a collector on the internet that this doll is a German fashion doll, made in the late 1800's, from the Sonnenberg era and worth $1,500.  Like I said, I am NOT a doll collector so you decide what she is and worth to you.  There is a mold mark on the back of her neck "6" and she is 16" in length. The circumference measurement around her head is, right at the hair line, above the ears, is 7 1/2 inches. The Shoulder plate measurement is 4 inches wide.  She has a bisque swivel head on a bisque shoulderplate with a hand painted face (upper, lower lashes and eye brows).  She also has brown inset eyes, pierced ears, real blond hair/mohair wig and hat.  She has leather hands and red leather feet/boots.  SHE IS ALL ORIGINAL!!!  Including the origianl hand sewn silk dress she is still wearing.  He said she needed a little cleaning on her face, but to sell her like this....original and untouched.  The dress is not in good shape, as you can tell, and there is a small chip on the back of the shoulder plate under the neck (see photo).  I DO GUARANTEE THAT THE HEAD HAS NO CHIPS, CRACKS, OR REPAIRS.
