She is a 16 1/2 in. antique doll incised "XI" by Kestner, a Germany company, with a full pouty closed mouth. I purchased her from the original owner's family estate. She has perfect bisque head with no hairlines, cracks, chips or eye flakes. Some of the close-up photos looks as though she has a hairline, but I assure you, it is just a hair from her wig. She has a fabulous face. Her blue eyes are bulbous and have been set. She has a very full pouty mouth turned up at the corners with a red line between her lips. Thick feathered eyebrows, painted lashes; cheek blushing is very nice. Some very minor skips on her cheeks and she has a little dark fleck below her left eye. Perfect beauty mark! There is a little flatness to the tip of her nose. She is incised "XI" on the back of her neck. She has her original very full mohair wig with its original pale green bow tied into her hair. This wig is fabulous!! She has her original plaster pate which had been removed. She is on a fully jointed composition schmitt-type body with straight wrists and cupped hands. She is jointed with loose balls at her shoulders, elbows and hips. Her body has its original finish with no repaint. Her head does not sit deep into the torso neck opening, but the body is original to this doll since I purchased her through the original owner's family. There is typical age wear at the joints, hands and body. This is normal.  She is wearing a wonderful silk dress with lace inserts. I added snaps long ago to close the dress in the back. The dress sleeves have some holes, but not bad. I am surprised the dress hasn't melted but I would still be very careful when undressing her. There is a lace and silk collar added over her dress. Some of the silk is melting but still looks great with the dress. She has antique pantaloons with rows of tucks and lace trim and a full length slip. Her antique shoes are incised "5" on the soles. Her stringing is pretty good, but there is some wobble. Does very well on a doll stand (stand not included). I don't know if I missed anything, but please email me with any questions.
