Description What a beauty! Color Magic Barbie was issued by Mattel in 1966. She featured hair that could be changed in color by applying a solution, then changed back by applying another solution. This is the blonde version of Color Magic Barbie, which changes from Golden Blonde to Scarlet Flame and back. She wears her bright blonde hair in a side-part, with a turquoise clip and a multicolor hairband. Barbie's swimsuit and hairband also change colors with the same solutions! With blue eyes and high color makeup, plus red polish on her fingernails and toenails, she's a real beauty! This doll is stock #1150 and the box is dated 1958. Also contained in the box are Color Magic Changers A and B, a foam applicator brush, a pale blue net to hold her hair in place while drying, and a card with yellow, green, and pink hair clips, and pink, green, and two blue hair ribbons. Hidden behind the liner are her gold stand, Color Magic booklet, and turquoise open-toed shoes.Barbie is in mint condition and wears her wrist tag, which is original and has never been detached. She has never been removed from her original near mint box, which has the original shrink-wrap cello and the hair color sticker on the bottom. Typically, this doll comes in plastic box, but this one comes in the much rarer cardboard box. The box has only a slight crunch on the back lower left edge. Barbie displays beautifully and the overall effect is lovely. This doll has been stored away from heat and light in my non-smoking home, and has been a real treasure as a part of my personal collection.
