Description
Up for auction is Diana doll #2 out of 1500 world wide. This Tribute to the late Princess of Wales, Diana was an offering made by the former Great American Doll Company in 1999. This doll is nearly impossible to find and the lower numbers are extremely valuable and rare. This would make a wonderful addition to a collector of Royal memorabilia and doll collectors. This Diana Doll is a true and legitimate artifact. "Presidents Premier Edition Diana" This Diana doll was authorized for me personally by Fredericka Lam, Co-Founder of the Great American Doll Company and is a first edition and early low-numbered Artist Proof Doll. (Certificate of Ownership is included and hand signed by Frederika Lam) This doll was masterly sculpted by famed Italian artist Bruno Rossellini. This is a magnificent work of art and craftmanship rarely seen in modern times. The doll Itself is about 15.5 inches tall (39.5 cm) and is made of hard cast vinyl a GADCO process. Some of the features of this doll, are the completely miniaturized set of expensive genuine Sapphire and Swarovski Crystal jewelry and a matching Swarovski crystal chain bracelets, with the sapphires totalling a full carrot in real precious stones. Her hair was designed with delicate side-part with visible scalp, and was made to lift gently in the back with a rat-tailed comb, to look exactly like Diana's real hair. This masterpiece coiffure was recreated in miniature by the famed Christopher of Beverly Hills. The exquisite eggshell-blue evening gown, made up of many delicately hand-sewn sequins and special laces and satins, based on Princess Diana's own favorite Catherine Walker design, which was purchased by the former Great American Doll Company at the famous Christie's auction of Diana's dresses in 1997. Diana's outfit includes an accompanying color-coordinated miniaturize beaded evening bag, made totally by hand and contain hundreds of small beads, Custom pantyhose and a pair of genuine matching left and right evening shoes. This Diana doll holds a secret. This secret is that this Diana doll has a special exclusive artifact of significant importance and historical value. This artifact consists of a fragment of custom-designed and emboirdered personal property that was commissioned and personally used for meany years by the Duke of Windsor, Formally known as King Edward VIII, following his abdication from the British Throne in 1937. This exclusive Royal Relic was obtained at the famous Sotheby's Auction of the personal effects ot the Duke and Dutchess of Windsor in February 1998 and is authenticated as part of Lot #1967-9 from the auction. This particular fragment has been permanently encased in a multicolored emboidered holder and hand-sewn into the fabric of Princess Diana' gown, secreted within the folds of her long chiffon train Included with this doll is the orginal numbered *Steamer Trunk, also designed by Bruno Rossellini, original black metal doll stand, orginal Certificates of Authenticity, orginal Certificate of Ownership, All orginal paperwork and packing.
