I hate to part with her but I am expecting my first child and am having to sell some of my dolls. She was purchased from the reputable vintage Barbie dealer Barbara Peterson many years ago. I have the reciept from that purchase as well that will come with her. With Barbie's 50th Anniversary coming up next year these doll's prices will only escalate so get her now! I would say she is in excellent condition. She has ALL ORIGINAL face paint which includes lovely, large, unfaded ruby red lips and strong brown factory stamped brows. Original bright red nostril dots and smokey grey eyeshadow with the shadow over one eye being rubbed. The black part on her eyelash ridges is uneven and has some rubbing. She doesn't appear to have any pinpricks on her face, but there are a few raised pinprick-sized specks of vinyl on her face. I see one on the side of her nose and a few on her temple. They are hardly noticeable. You really have to take the doll and inspect her VERY closely to see it. I am being picky in describing it. I have a brunette #1 that has some of these specks as well so it could be commonplace with #1 vinyl. Her face still has a very nice pink tone to it. In certain lights it differs slightly from the torso vinyl but it is not very noticeable. She has no neck splits. Only one earring hole per ear with no green. She has her original hoop earring as well. Both upper edges of her ears have indented vinyl which may have been factory. It's very small. Her hair is very pretty and I believe it to be her original topknot. There is something hard and crumbly under the top wrap that could be remnants from the original rubber band. The bottom rubber band is new. Her hair does have some flyaways including a small strand that is probably part of the wrap piece that came undone. I don't see any missing plugs. Her hair is a very pretty strawberry blonde color as well as shiny. Her body is in overall excellent condition. It has faded unevenly especially at the neck, chest and back which is fairly common with the first three Barbies. Her arms are still pinkish as well and they seem to feel very pliable and softer. Not sure why but they are definitely her original arms. Her body is very sturdy. No rattles. She has the wonderful crayon smell. Fingernail and toenail polish is 95% there and all original. Faint shoestains on feet. One copper tube is either missing or is shoved up in her leg. She has the correct TM markings. Her body is very clean but does have minor marks here and there. She comes with her original black and white swimsuit, original gold hoop earrings, reproduction shoes with holes in them so they can fit on the stand and also a reproduction #1 stand. You will not be disappointed with her. I have loved having her in my collection. Everyone that saw her always gasped with delight. Reasonable offers considered.
